Minority Scholarships In Michigan

Minority Scholarships are financial aid intended for minorities of the U.S. who wish to pursue a college education. To qualify for a minority scholarship you must be a member of a minority group such as African American, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, etc. Criteria and eligibility are determined by the actual scholarship provider who typically has an interest in assisting students who are affiliated with or belong to their specific minority group. Simply belonging to a minority group doesn't always make one eligible. In addition to minority status one might be required to meet other requirements as well. These requirements could be anything from minimum GPA to, being an active member in their community.

Consider applying early for these scholarships and seek available services that will assist prospective candidates in preparing grant or scholarship proposals (s) Students may seek help and assistance from their school counselors, local government offices or visit websites to keep informed of the available information on minority opportunities. Michigan State University Libraries is a website that also has a scholarship database and is categorized for easy use.
