Academic Scholarships in Georgia
Passing the Georgia High School Test is a good thing, now you are set for a good college education. Georgia is home to a lot of good educational institutions. But the extreme cost of a quality college education holds back a lot of people from pursuing one, or cause financial hardships during and after college to those who chose to crawl it out. We have heard the financial nightmares of those students who are still neck deep in debt payments years after they graduate.
Good thing that a lot of Georgia colleges and Universities offer various academic scholarships through Georgia based organizations within and outside these Georgia educational institutions.
A lot of Universities within and outside the state of Georgia offer merit scholarships and it may require more than just academic or excellence, although others require you to get an exemplary score on your SAT's and to graduate among the top of your class, some may require various criteria to be met like honorary titles or recognition from external organizations. While this is common knowledge in acquiring scholarships, only a handful could qualify. Fortunately the opportunity for scholarships are not limited to those who excel in academics, but for those who are looking for scholarships which are primarily determined by academic performance there are many scholarships available within the SchoolSoup directory.
There is also the Georgia HOPE program, which is set up to help students who have achieved academic excellence receive financial help at attending a postsecondary institution.
