The following are financial aid programs available to students who are residents of the state of Arizona. 

Postsecondary Education Grant

The Postsecondary Education Grant was established to provide financial assistance to students seeking a baccalaureate degree from an accredited private postsecondary institution in Arizona.

The PEG award is $2,000 annually for a maximum of four calendar years to be used for tuition, books and fees. If the student fails to receive a baccalaureate degree within five years from receipt of first award, the student shall reimburse the state the total amount awarded.

Monies are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis and are contingent upon registered enrollment at a qualified private postsecondary institution

Eligibility

A student must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Be a resident of Arizona and have been a resident of this state for at least the past twelve months or be a member of the military service of the United States stationed in Arizona or the spouse or dependent of a member of the military service of the United States stationed in Arizona.

AND

Be a citizen or legal resident of the United States or lawfully present in the United States.

Be in the upper 50% of your high school class or have a GPA of 2.5 (or equivalent) or if 22 years of age or older can meet your colleges readiness requirements.

Be working towards your first baccalaureate degree.

Be enrolled at least part-time in a baccalaureate program at a nationally or regionally accredited private postsecondary institution in Arizona.

Early Graduation Scholarship Program

This non-need based grand is designed to encourage Arizona high school students who graduate early to attend an accredited Arizona Postsecondary Institution.  Maximum grant is $2,000 ($1,250 for the first academic year of school and $750 for the second).

Arizona Private Postsecondary Education Student Assistance Program (PFAP)

The PFAP award is $2,000 annually for a maximum of two calendar years.  The award is for students seeking a baccalaureate degree from a private postsecondary institution with an Associate’s Degree from an Arizona community college. 

Eligibility

Must be enrolled full-time in a baccalaureate degree program

Must be a community college graduate with an Associate’s Degree from any Arizona public community college.

Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5

Must be accepted at a nationally or regionally accredited private postsecondary baccalaureate degree granting institution in Arizona.

Must demonstrate financial need in compliance with Federal Methodology

Must be a resident of Arizona and be a citizen of the United States or lawfully present in the United States

Leveraging Education Assistance Partnership (LEAP)

LEAP is a program that establishes a federal-state partnership to provide financial assistance in the form of grants to students who have demonstrated financial need. Federal funds are provided to match appropriated state funds supplied by the states on a dollar for dollar basis.  The maximum LEAP award is $2,500 and the minimum is $100 per academic year.  LEAP awards are grants and do not have to be repaid.

Eligibility

Must be an Arizona resident that is attending a participating eligible Arizona postsecondary educational institution as either a full-time or half-time undergraduate or graduate level student that can demonstrate financial need.
