Additional Information
Eligible candidates must have a grade point average of 3.0 or better and have demonstrated financial need as determined by Financial Aid. The award shall be given to Hispanic students majoring in Spanish. The recipient may receive the award for more than one year as long as they maintain a gpa of 3.0 or better. Candidates must write a one-page essay describing why they have chosen to major in Spanish. The selection of the recipients shall be determined by a committee consisting of a member of the Spanish Faculty named by the Department Head of Foreign Languages, a representative of Financial Aid and Mr. Fabian A. Samaniego or his designee.
