Applicants must come from a family in which at least one of the parents is of Black/ African-American ancestry, be a BSU member and have participated in or contributed a minimum of 15 hours to BSU meetings, activities and/or projects, be enrolled for at least (6) credit hours, have completed less than 96 quarter hours/equivalent, have and maintain a 2.5 GPA to receive the scholarship, submit financial need, must include most recent transcript (C.O.D., high school, other college transcript) or ACT, SAT or GED scores, provide a 300-350 word essay on your future goals and what you have already done to contribute to the African American community, how it has impacted you, and how you would plan to contribute to the African American community in the future, and include letter of recommendation from instructor advisor, counselor, member of the community or community agency. |
