Established to provide financial assistance for college to selected Connecticut residents, including merchant seafarers and/or their dependents.
Additional Information
Eligible to apply for this funding are 1) Connecticut residents who are merchant seafarers and/or their dependents; they may major in any field of study; 2) Connecticut residents who are students at state maritime academies; and 3) Connecticut residents majoring in marine sciences at an out-of-state or in-state college, university, or other approved educational institution. Selection is based on academic achievement, letters of recommendation, proposed program of study, and financial need.
