Josh Fendell, an artist and instructor who died in 1994, was memorialized by his wife Carol when she created the Josh Fendell Pre-College Award. The award helps a deserving young person from Baltimore City attend MICA's domestic Pre-College program. Josh taught the materials class at MICA for over 25 years, which was a required course for art education students. Scholarship winners who wish to learn more about Josh are encouraged to explore a copy of Xcerpts, which is available in MICA's Decker Library.
