Awarded to Photography majors. An application consists of following. A letter of application addressing (1) the reasons for requesting financial aid, (2) the student’s background and qualities, and (3) educational and career goals. A portfolio of 5-10 representative works of art in slide or original form. If slides are submitted, they must be placed in plastic sleeves and identified by the applicant’s name, title of the work, medium, and dimensions of the original. Texas A&M University-Commerce will return slides, but cannot assume responsibility for returning or otherwise handling original art works. Names, addresses and telephone numbers of two references who are familiar with the applicant’s background, abilities and character. If transferring from another college or university, the student must include official transcripts of all previous academic work.
