Applicant must be enrolled in the School of Health Professions. • Applicant must be a tribally acknowledged member of the Osage Tribe, and aspire to be a health care practitioner. • Applicant must submit a 500 to 1,000-word essay about the positive impact additional health care providers would have on their community and the role they would play in that care. • Recipient must achieve a 3.2 GPA or better (4.0 scale) at the end of the first year at the University of Missouri (at least two semesters totaling 30 hours) for re-award. Recipient must achieve a 3.7 GPA or better (4.0 scale) after the second year enrolled at the University of Missouri for re-award. • It is the intent of the donors that this scholarship is awarded to the same student for the duration of his/her four years of undergraduate education as long as an appropriate GPA is maintained and he/she remains in the Bachelor of Health Sciences degree program. • It is the intent of the donors that the recipient pursues an advanced degree in one of the therapy fields or medicine to prepare the student to become a health care provider and, hopefully, return to his/her community with this skill set to practice. |
