| This scholarship program was created by the Georgia General Assembly to encourage teacher paraprofessionals or instructional aides, who worked in Georgia public schools, to seek a baccalaureate degree in Education and to become teachers in Georgia’s public schools by providing funds to assist with their educational expenses in the form of a service-obligation scholarship. | |

| Applicants must: Be teacher paraprofessionals or instructional aides who served in Georgia’s public schools; Meet the requirements to be eligible for in-state tuition, or meet the residency requirements for the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant program; Enter the scholarship program as a freshman or higher level student; and be admitted into a degree program of study leading to initial teacher certification in a HOPE-eligible Georgia public or private college or university. | |
