Awarded to recognize and financially reward selected Georgia high school graduates to obtain a teaching degree in honor and memory of Dr. Charles McDaniel, who served as the State Superintendent of Schools for the State of Georgia from 1977 to 1986.
Additional Information
Applicants must: 1) Be a legal resident of Georgia; 2) Be a graduate of a Georgia public high school; 3) Be enrolled at a Georgia public college as a full-time undergraduate student; 4) Be classified as a Junior or Senior level student and admitted to the department of education of the college; 5) Have a cumulative grade average of 3.25 or higher; and 6) Indicate a strong desire to be a teacher.
