|Awarded to recognize and financially reward selected Georgia high school graduates to obtain a teaching degree in honor and memory of Dr. Charles McDaniel, who served as the State Superintendent of Schools for the State of Georgia from 1977 to 1986.|
|Applicants must: 1) Be a legal resident of Georgia; 2) Be a graduate of a Georgia public high school; 3) Be enrolled at a Georgia public college as a full-time undergraduate student; 4) Be classified as a Junior or Senior level student and admitted to the department of education of the college; 5) Have a cumulative grade average of 3.25 or higher; and 6) Indicate a strong desire to be a teacher.|
