| To qualify, high school seniors must live in the Price Chopper marketing areas; these include 1) Massachusetts (Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, Worchester); 2) Connecticut (Litchfield, Windham); 3) Pennsylvania (Lackawana, Luzerne, Susquehana, Wayne, Wyoming); 4) New Hampshire (Grafton, Sullivan); 5) Vermont (Bennington, Caledonia, Chittenden, Franklin, Lamoille, Orange, Orleans, Rutland, Washington, Windham, Windsor), and 6) New York (Albany, Broome, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Dutchess, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Onondaga, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Rensselaer, St. Lawardnce, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Tioga, Ulster, Warren, Washington). Applicants must plan to attend school in one of these six states, be able to demonstrate outstanding leadership and scholastic abilities, and write an essay that describes their leadership skills as they relate either to school or outside activities. Finalists must attend a personal interview. | |
