|The Massachusetts Board of Higher Education has expanded the Tuition Waiver Program to include residents of the Commonwealth who are directly affected by the September 11 events. The Commonwealth September 11, 2001 Tragedy Tuition Waiver provides a 100 percent tuition waiver to children and widowed spouses of Massachusetts residents for any non-state supported course or program offered by a Massachusetts public college or university.|
|Students must: 1) be the spouse or child of a resident of Massachusetts who was the victim of the tragic events that occurred on September 11, 2001; 2) submit the following to the institution: a) Copy of the student’s legal birth certificate; b) Certificate of Death for the spouse, parent or legal guardian (or other official documentation of death); and c) Proof that the death is connected to the terrorism that occurred on September 11, 2001.|
