| This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrates financial need and attended a public high school in the city of Philadelphia. First-time and renewal applicants must submit a written reference from a teacher, faculty member or counselor attesting to the students willingness and desire to achieve academic success within the university environment. In addition, to the reference letter, renewal applicants must have received the scholarship as a freshman and must maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average in his/her college work at the time of application.
