| Eligible to apply for this award are minority high school seniors who are interested in attending college. Applicants are asked to write a 500-word essay on this question: ”One of the principal goals of education and golf is fostering ways for people to respect and get along with individuals who think, dress, look, and act differently. How might you make this goal a reality?” Selection is based on academic record, personal recommendations, participation in golf, school and community activities (including employment, extracurricular activities, and other responsibilities), and financial need. | |
