Description:
The Graduate Equity Fellowship Program (GEFP) is sponsored by the CSU Chancellor’s Office and California State University, Chico. The goal of this program is to prepare, motivate, encourage, and support those graduate students who aspire to obtain a doctorate and pursue an academic career in teaching and research. Awards for an academic year total $5,500. The two–part program provides a $750/semester stipend and a $2,000/semester salary for research-related activities under the direction of a faculty mentor.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria: Be economically disadvantaged Be from an educationally disadvanaged background/experienced restricted access to quality educational opportunities Be admitted to a master's degree program at CSU, Chico Be classified as a California resident Be pursuing an academic discipline in which there is a projected need for faculty Deadlines: April 1 for Fall November 1 for Spring For information/application, visit the Web site of the School of Graduate, International, and Interdisciplinary Programs Office, or contact the office in Student Services Center 440, 530-898-6880.
