| A $2,000 award is available to apply towards student registration fees for fulltime undergraduate or graduate students with outstanding promise and achievement in the field of sustainable and just use of natural resources. The applicant must have demonstrated outstanding contribution or community service in energy efficiency, energy conservation, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, recycling, or water reduction.
The applicant must be enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Art or Science degree at Humboldt State University (minimum of 12 semester units for undergraduate students or 9 for graduate students). Completion of at least 25% of the required units for undergraduates or fulfilment of prerequisite coursework for graduate students is required. Academic achievement with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better in overall coursework is required. Students with greatest financial need will be given preference in the event of otherwise equally qualified candidates. Applications from qualified disabled, minority and women candidates are particularly encouraged. Previous winners may be eligible for a total of two received awards. |
