|The Tripp Joye Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 in memory of Milbourne L. Joye, III (Tripp) to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Forsyth County who will pursue full-time undergraduate degrees in music, preferably in the area of percussion, from accredited post-secondary institutions. The scholarship may provide a $500 non-renewable award for students who will pursue full-time undergraduate degrees from accredited post-secondary institutions. Scholarships will be applied to the cost of undergraduate tuition, fees, and room and board. Not only was Tripp an excellent and gifted musician and percussionist, he was also a good son, brother, friend and person. It is hoped that the scholarship will keep his memory alive and provide a means for others to follow their dreams.|
|To receive consideration, applicants must: • be residents of Forsyth County • be graduating high school seniors • have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.0 • pursue a degree in music, preferably in the area of percussion|
