| Awarded to a first or second semester senior to be enrolled full time in even-numbered years to an elementary major with an additional certifiable major or two minors and in odd-numbered years to a secondary major--double major--one major must be geography or single broadfield social studies major with geography minor. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, be highly successful in pre-student teaching clinical experiences, show evidence of an understanding of child or adolescent development and ability to develop a positive working relationship with students, and show evidence of basic understanding of sound principles of teaching and learning. | |
