•Plan to pursue a degree that will lead to a career in the health field •Demonstrate the intent to work in an underserved community •Preference for students fluent in an Asian or Pacific Islander language •Preference for students who reside in or attend college in UHF's priority states of TX, IL, CA, NY, NJ •Preference for students who intend to transfer from a 2-year to a 4-year institution •Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census •Be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the U.S. Citizens of the Freely Associated States may apply •Be enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the upcoming academic year •Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED •Must apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
